Emily Cook
(She/Her/Hers)
BSW RSW
Hey there! I’m Emily (she/her), a Newfie at heart, and I’m here to help you navigate life’s ups and downs.
I know that opening up about personal struggles isn’t easy, which is why I focus on creating a space where you feel comfortable being yourself — with no judgment, just understanding. Whether you’re dealing with addiction, an eating disorder, struggling with symptoms of an anxiety disorder or navigating life’s challenges, my goal is to make therapy a place where you feel safe and supported.
One thing I strive for is making therapy as comfortable as possible. I know how intimidating it can be to start therapy, so I work hard to create a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere where you can open up at your own pace. I believe we all deserve to be heard, and my role is to help you feel empowered to take charge of your journey toward healing. We are collaborators in the healing space.
In my practice, I work with young adults, adolescents and individuals dealing with eating disorders, addiction, and mood and anxiety challenges. I like helping people through the tough stuff — from trauma to life transitions. I tailor my approach to each person’s unique needs.
My style is flexible, drawing on different therapeutic techniques like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Narrative Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
I also love running group sessions and workshops where we focus on building real-life skills, like managing stress, setting healthy boundaries, or learning how to cope with cravings and triggers. My favourite groups to facilitate are process groups.
Outside of therapy: I’m a proud Newfie, so don’t be surprised if you hear my accent come out. I’m not from Texas. Just a Newfie who moved to the mainland.
When I’m not in the therapy room, you can usually find me sipping a cup of coffee, exploring new coffee shops or practicing yoga to keep myself grounded.
I also believe in work-life balance. I know how important it is to take care of oneself, inside and out.
I’m currently studying for my Master of Social Work at the University of Windsor, always learning and growing so I can support you better.
Whether you’re here for therapy or just looking for a safe space to talk, I’ve got you.
My first language is English. I’m proud to work with individuals from all walks of life, appreciating the richness of different backgrounds and experiences.
If you’re interested in working together, I offer a free 20-minute consultation to see if we’re a good fit.
Reach out anytime — I’d love to hear from you and see how I can support you in your journey!

(She/Her/Hers)
MSc OT, OT Reg. (Ont.)
Hello! My name is Abrial.
I’m a registered Occupational Therapist with the Ontario College of Occupational Therapist. I have a passion for helping clients who live with chronic conditions and/or persistent pain. I enjoy collaborating with them to optimize their quality of life using interventions that suit their needs and personality. My clients tell me they’ve appreciated re-connecting their minds and bodies through our work together.
In addition to the more common ways Occupational Therapists work with clients, I also apply other modalities, including yoga and various psychotherapies. I’m a certified yoga teacher (RYT200hr), and have training in Motivational Interviewing (MI), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
As an Occupational Therapist, I know how big of a difference assistive equipment can make in recovery, I support many clients in acquiring the types of equipment that will help maximize their independence. I connect them with funding for things like walkers, wheelchairs, power chairs, and scooters through the Assistive Devices Program (ADP), motor vehicle accident (MVA) insurance, disability insurance coverage, and other avenues.
Lastly, I love learning, teaching, and creative experiences. In my leisure time, I read, travel, practice yoga, and hang out with animals. Whenever the opportunity presents, I research the interconnection of mental health and poverty. There are an increasing number of ways Occupational Therapy is learning to address issues around homelessness.
My goal is to assist you in your recovery and return to meaningful activity.

Hello, My name is Paula Ferreira! (she/her)
My work is centered on helping people figure out ‘life’ - managing relationships with others and self, dealing with big emotions, working through trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, all while honoring and caring for a person’s whole self.
I’ve been a Registered Social Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, OCSWSSW for 28 years.
Through my career, I’ve supported children, adolescents and adults, both individually and as a family. Although the work is not easy – honest dialogue, safe environment, commitment to showing up – it is the key to growth, learning and making impactful change.
The trust and connection we build is the key to successful counselling, so I encourage you to meet with me for a free 20 minute consultation. This allows us to see if we’d be a good fit and decide whether we’d like to work together.
I speak English and Portuguese.
Is there something else you’d like to know about me? Just ask. _____

BSc MSW RSW
Hello! My name is Isi, short for Isidora (she/her).
I approach all aspects of my work and being through a human-centered approach with compassion, inclusion, and empathy. I believe everyone brings a unique set of skills and gifts to their life. I also believe everyone has the inherent ability to be well and thrive with the right support. I am honoured to share and hold space with clients while guiding them through their journey to where they want to be.
I take a holistic approach to well-being when supporting my clients’ mental health. I focus on their whole person - I take into consideration who they are physically, socially, and mentally.
I enjoy supporting young-adults and adults. Those I serve are often dealing with relationship issues, experiencing symptoms of anxiety or depression, encountering work or post-secondary struggles, navigating big emotions, and/or working through a life transition.
In therapy, as is true in most circumstances, one size does NOT fit all. You’ll find me using a creative electic approach that tailors to your unique strengths and needs. I apply a Trauma-Informed lens and strengths-based approach and integrate techniques from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT), and Emotional Focused Therapy (EFT).
Everyone has the capacity to be a forever-learner, both personally and vocationally.
My corporate workshops and groups are founded on this belief: people’s skills and talents improve through reflection, guidance and action. I use common experiences and engaging activities to ground participants and help them connect and learn. I equip participants with skills and offer safe spaces to practice. I also help people interpret struggles and setbacks as natural parts of the work experience. This helps people contextualize their situation and take ownership of their wellbeing at work and home.
A bit more about who I am when I’m not working.
Maintaining work-life balance is important for me, even though it can be hard at times. I’ve learned it pays to find joy in all spaces of life. I love spending time with my friends and family.
I dabble in visual art, and do this as often as I’m able. My water-colour paintings are inspired by nature and animals.
On a Sunday morning you’re likely to find me pairing a yoga class and with a good coffee in downtown Kitchener.
My first language is Serbo-Croatian, although I’m more comfortable speaking English in sessions.
I look forward to meeting you. I offer initial phone consults to help us know if we’re a good fit for counselling. To book your free 20-minutes New Client Consult, email me or book online.

Hello! My name is Christi-an, (she/her)
I love holding space for people to feel both the beauty and tragedy of life. It’s from this place that we can gain insight into the true needs of the body, mind and heart. Together we can turn towards those needs with curiosity and empathy to build more care, meaning and possibility into our lives.
I’m a Gestalt Therapist with over 17 years of experience teaching mindfulness and somatic embodiment practices (including yoga, breath work and meditation). Both personally and professionally, I’ve seen the transformative power of tapping into the wisdom of the body and unpacking what comes up through the therapeutic process.
I offer compassionate support to individuals dealing with a broad spectrum of challenges, such as anxiety, depression, burnout, body image concerns, grief, the aftermath of trauma, questions regarding sexual and gender identity, low self-esteem, the harsh inner critic, relationship struggles, feelings of regret, fertility journeys, life transitions, prenatal and postpartum struggles, and the intricate dynamics of parenting.
A gentle reminder for anyone who needs to hear this today, you are not failing because you are seeking support — we are meant to do this work with each other. Nothing is too big or shameful — together we’ll hold whatever comes up and work towards your goals for therapy.
As a queer mama and settler on this land, I walk life’s winding path with an open heart, a sense of humour and a commitment to working towards a kinder and more just world. Most often you’ll find my toddler and I meandering the neighbourhood in search of pinecones and basketball nets. I also feel deeply nourished when hanging out a farmer’s markets and checking out new coffee shops.
I am currently accepting new clients and would be honoured to join you on your brave path of healing and self-discovery. To book your 20m New Client Consult or a first session, email me or book online

Sandra Tocitu
(She/Her/Hers)
BSc, BSW, MSW, RSW
Hello, Guten Tag, Drago mi je!
My name is Sandra Tocitu (she/her), or Sandy for short.
I’m a Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, OCSWSSW.
I use a holistic and eclectic perspective, paying attention to one’s biology, psychology and environment. I believe a person’s existence and connectedness in this world is harnessed in their ability to belong, to be authentic, to have purpose and autonomy, to have meaning in life and to love/be loved. Without these, it’s easy to live in autopilot or survival mode.
Clients seek me out for help with their anxiety, depression, social anxiety, panic, family and parenting difficulties, pre-natal and post-partum challenges, domestic violence, addictions, and relationship issues.
I combine Mindfulness Interventions with various grounding techniques to assist clients to live fuller and more holistic lives, whilst accepting each person’s healing journey as uniquely their own.
My work is Trauma-informed and Attachment-based.
I also borrow modalities from Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Narrative Therapy.
I have over 10 years experience supporting children and adults in complex mental health, developmental difficulties, and challenging family circumstances. I’ve worked in community and hospital settings, including two years dedicated to supporting local indigenous peoples.
I am also a certified Circle of Security Parenting facilitator, and I am a trained EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) Therapist. I’m a proud member of the Arizona Trauma Institute and I’m nearly finished Certified Clinical Trauma Specialization.
On a personal note, I’m a mom of three little ones, and share time and space with my husband and our extended family and friends. I am a knitting fanatic and love to box.
I’m fluent in Serbo-Croatian, German and English.
